I first became struck by the phenomenon of synchronicity after creating an astrological board game back in the 1980s while I was living in Germany. Intended as a teaching aid for astrology students who were keen to learn more about astrology and also more about themselves, it was published by Burk Verlag in 1986 with the title ‘Lebensrad’ (Wheel of Life).

Astrology works through synchronicities, the biggest one being the fractal correspondence between the microcosm of human life and the macrocosm of the universe. “As below so above, and as above so below” runs the piece of ancient wisdom carved on the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus.
